Underground Mining, Shipments Resume at Grasberg

Reuters reported that shipments and underground mining have resumed at Freeport’s (NYSE:FCX) Grasberg mine in Indonesia, although it warns of a drop in output due to an extended closure after a series of accidents.

As quoted in the Reuters report:

We will have a better outlook once we actually start underground mine production, maybe in a couple more days,” Freeport spokeswoman Daisy Primayanti said.
