Mining Weekly reported openpit mining at Freeport McMoRan Copper and Gold’s (NYSE:FCX) Grasberg mine in Indonesia has now returned to full capacity, after having been closed since mid-May while probes into a series of fatal accidents were ongoing.

As quoted in the market report:

The openpit mine normally produces between 140 000 t and 150 000 t of copper ore per day, while output from the underground operations is 80 000 t. Freeport was forced to declare force majeure on shipments after the accident.
