Bloomberg reported that Glencore Xstrata’s (LON:GLEN) copper production rose by 22 percent in Q2 on increased activity at its African mines.

As quoted in the Bloomberg report:

Output was 351,600 metric tons in the three months ended June, Baar, Switzerland-based Glencore said today in an e-mailed statement. The figures include operations acquired from Xstrata Plc.
