Equinox Exploration Corp.(TSXV:EQX) announced that it has commenced drilling at its Binghampton Copper Queen project. The Company announced that it has also added a second drill to the contract at the property, which is scheduled to arrive next week.
As quoted in the press release:
- Drilling with the core rig will initially focus on the existing Copper Queen Mine
- The Copper Queen mine was developed on several levels but never placed into production due to legal issues
- The Arizona Geological Survey recorded an historic production of 1,413 short tons grading 9.95% copper, 0.25% zinc, 54.2 grams per tonne silver and 3.3 grams per tonne gold for the Copper Queen mine
Equinox Exploration, President, Vic Nielsen, commented:
We are pleased with the addition of the second drill rig at BCQ as it will allow the Company to fast track exploration of the additional VMS trends.
