Decade Resources Ltd. (TSX VENTURE:DEC) reported it has received government approval to continue drilling on an expanded area of the Wedeene copper-gold discovery in the Kitimat area of British Columbia. As of July 28th, drilling has resumed to the east and north of DDH-2010-J-1 to 10.
The press release is quoted as saying:
Chalcopyrite is associated with pyritic zones in highly silicified rocks and assay data to date shows a strong correlation between copper and gold mineralization. The pyritic zones which contain 5-7% pyrite and local chalcopyrite are associated with strong local “potassic” and pervasive “phyllic” alteration zones intruded by strongly epidote altered dykes.
