PotashCorp Updates Downtime Estimates

PotashCorp (NYSE:POT, TSX:POT) announced updates to planned downtime estimates.

As quoted in the press release:

 Our present intention is to achieve these curtailments through the use of maintenance shutdowns, including extended shutdowns as necessary, and running at reduced operating rates across our system without completely shutting down facilities and laying off workers as we have done in the past. This approach not only will be less disruptive to our employees and the communities in which we operate but maintaining a full and engaged workforce is expected to provide us the ability to respond quickly to changes in demand.
