Potash West Managing Director Patrick McManus stated:
The metrics are exciting, in that we are only using ~ 60% of the current indicated resource, and we have a mine-life in excess of 40 years. Clearly we will have a long-life project, with the opportunity to expand.
The project NPV at $ 378 M is nearly twice the capital requirement of $205 M, one of several investment rules of thumb we meet.
With our current cash in bank we will complete the process design part of the pre-feasibility study, over the next 6 to 8 months. This will be an important milestones.
