Potash tax may lead to expansion in Canada

On Thursday, it was reported that the Canadian province of Saskatchewan is planning to upgrade its potash tax regime. This can spur the development of new mines in the mineral-rich region by helping junior explorers attract investment partners.

The news release is quoted as saying:

Under the province’s current law, newcomers would have enjoyed a complete exemption from potash production taxes.
