Potash Shares Rise On Strong Demand

MarketWatch reported the rise in the price of shares of fertilizer companies, as corn prices soar to $7.88 a bushel in light of a recent heat wave and drought in the Midwest.

Citi Investment Research analyst P.J. Juvekar commented:

We think North American fertilizer producers are poised to benefit from higher grain prices and the growing likelihood that the U.S. will need to plant another large corn and soybean crop in 2013.
