Potash Corporation of Saskatchewan in Talks With Agrium

Potash Corporation of Saskatchewan Inc. (TSX:POT,NYSE:POT) has confirmed that it is in preliminary discussions with Agrium Inc. (TSX:AGU,NYSE:AGU) regarding a potential merger of equals.
As quoted in the press release:

No decision has been made as to whether to proceed with such a combination, no agreement has been reached, and there can be no assurance that any transaction will result from these discussions.
