Potash Corp Confirms Discussions With Agrium Regarding Potential Merger of Equals

Potash Corporation of Saskatchewan (TSX:POT) has confirmed it is in preliminary discussions with Agrium (TSX:AGU) regarding a potential merger of equals.
As quoted in the press release:

No decision has been made as to whether to proceed with such a combination, no agreement has been reached, and there can be no assurance that any transaction will result from these discussions.
