Intrepid Says Potash Sales Down, Prices up
CNBC News reported that lower fertilizer demand in the southern US caused Intrepid Potash Inc.’s (NYSE:IPI) to fall.
CNBC News reported that lower fertilizer demand in the southern US caused Intrepid Potash Inc.’s (NYSE:IPI) to fall.
As quoted in the market news:
The company estimated that it sold between 185,000 tons and 195,000 tons. It sold 221,000 tons in the third quarter of last year. The company said it shifted some sales from drought-stricken Texas to other states, although at higher shipping costs. Sales were also hurt by customers who delayed shipments because of Midwest flooding, it said.
