BHP Billiton’s Jansen Potash Project in Canada Given Government Approval

The Australian reported that the government of Saskatchewan approved the development of the Jansen potash project.

The market news is quoted as saying:

A final investment decision on Jansen will come from BHP’s board of directors in the first half of next year. In the meantime, the company announced earlier this week is would spend $US488 million to advance the economic feasibility study.
