Analyst Sees Potash Corp Play as Good Move

Financial Post reported that Potash Corp.’s (NYSE:POT) recent move to increase its stake in Israel Chemicals (TLV:ICL) was good for the company.

Scotia Capital analyst Ben Isaacson said:

In an environment of potential excess global potash capacity five-plus years out, where marginal returns on Saskatchewan brownfield could diminish over time, Potash Corp. likely wants to both maintain its global market share, but also begin to dilute its Saskatchewan presence.
