The Australian producer reported a 2007-08 net profit of $23.44 million in August, which was a 30 per cent increase over the year before.

Chairman Andy Hogendijk at the company’s annual general meeting says:

“Looking forward, and notwithstanding some shorter-term issues associated with the current global financial situation, we believe the fundamentals for our coal business remain very sound.”
