Myanmar Abandons Coal-Fired Power Plant Project

Reuters reported that Myanmar has decided not to build a coal-fired power plant at Dawei.

Minister Khin Maung Soe said:

We made the decision to halt this project after reading the concerns about the environmental impact of this plant in local media reports.
