Marathon Petroleum Announces 2012 Second Quarter Results

Marathon Petroleum Corp. (NYSE:MPC) announced that its 2012 second quarter net income was $814 million.

As quoted in the press release:

For the second quarter of 2012, net income adjusted for special items was $867 million, or $2.53 per diluted share, compared with net income adjusted for special items of $819 million, or $2.29 per diluted share for the second quarter of 2011.
