Nemaska Lithium Inc (TSX:NMX,OTCQX:NMKEF) CEO Guy Bourassa was interviewed on BNN.
Nemaska Lithium Inc (TSX:NMX,OTCQX:NMKEF) CEO Guy Bourassa was interviewed on BNN. During the segment, he discussed the company’s construction initiatives for both a lithium mine and a processing plant in Quebec.
The company is currently running a demonstration plant, in which they are producing lithium hydroxide through an electrolysis process that is cost effective, is more environmentally friendly than its alternatives and helps attain higher levels of purity. With this demonstration plant, Nemaska has already shipped 1.5 tonnes of battery grade lithium hydroxide to a cathode manufacturer.
The Nemaska Lithium executive also outlined the company’s offtake agreement with FMC Lithium, which are a financially credible organization that requires lithium carbonate as a feed for their lithium oxide production. As Nemaska can produce certain levels of lithium carbonate within their processing facility, they have entered into a 42-month offtake contract to provide FMC with the material they require.
