Uralkali Will Sell Potash to India Through BPC
News 24 Online reported that Uralkali (LON:URKA) will sell potash to Indian buyers through its trading arm, BPC.
News 24 Online reported that Uralkali (LON:URKA) will sell potash to Indian buyers through its trading arm, BPC.
The market news is quoted as saying:
Belarusian Potash Company (BPC) is a joint export arm of Uralkali and Belarus’ Belaruskali that together control almost 42 per cent of global potash exports. “It is important to remember that BPC is not a profit generating company. So the cost of BPC is very small and profit margins cover exactly the operation cost. It simply does not make sense for any potash consumer worldwide to buy directly from us,” Uralkali CEO Vladislav Baumgertner said.
