North Dakota Lawmakers Settle on 2% Potash Tax

CNBC News reported that the tax and regulatory framework for potash mining in North Dakota is now set up with a 2% tax.

Both the House and Senate voted Wednesday to approve the potash tax measure, although some lawmakers wondered whether the tax rate was too low. The bill now goes to Gov. Jack Dalrymple for his review.
