Alpha Minerals (TSXV:AMW) has appointed Dr. Michael Gunning to its Board of Directors and in a planned build out of the Management team of the Company, he will also serve as lead Technical Advisor.
As quoted in the press release:
Most recently as former President and CEO of Hathor Exploration Ltd, he successfully transitioned the Company from the grass roots discovery to the definition of a uranium deposit with truly world class attributes, and steered it’s eventual sale to Rio Tinto Plc., a leading producer in the global uranium sector.
Alpha Minerals President Ben Ainsworth said:
This is a critical first step required for Alpha to carry on a successful exploration effort on the Patterson Lake South Joint Venture with Fission Energy and its other uranium interests in the Athabasca Basin. Dr. Gunning will be a critical voice in advising the Board, and management, as to the technical approach to understanding and advancing Patterson Lake, an early stage but promising discovery in the well-established and preeminent high grade uranium district in the world. I look forward to again working again with Michael, having seen his proven ability to lead so effectively the team at Hathor.
