Kazakhstan Reconsiders Moratorium on New Mining Licences

Reuters reported that Kazakhstan is considering lifting a moratorium granting mining licences for new deposits, which has been in effect for a number of years.

As quoted in the market report:

Kazakhstan’s uranium reserves are second only to Australia’s. The former Soviet republic, central Asia’s biggest economy, also holds the world’s largest chromium reserves and substantial bauxite, copper, iron ore and zinc deposits.
