Zinc prices were pulled back by rise of interest rates in China. Inventories have already been on a high this year and with rising interest rates the prices will face some demarking. Zinc has been the worst performer so far in 2010. It is expected that the prices are likely to show some short covering in 2011, with renewed consumer sentiments and improving housing sales conditions in US.
