Today, silver prices increased $0.83, to $21.91 an ounce, Reuters reported. Silver futures for December delivery were also up, rising $0.20 to hit $21.37 an ounce, according to MarketWatch.

Metal prices were helped by lower-than-expected ADP jobs data released today. The private sector added 166,000 jobs in September, below what analysts had forecast, as per Reuters. Weak jobs data could encourage the Federal Reserve to continue its stimulus program.
