South Africa Stocks Remain Flat on Rising Platinum

Reuters reported South African stocks remained little changed on Monday as platinum miners’ stocks rose and retailers’ stocks fell.

As quoted in the market news:

Platinum miners – the worst performers on the Top-40 over the last 12 months – gained on a recovering platinum price, which has been recently helped by improving risk appetite.

Spot platinum was up nearly 1.6 percent.
