Precious Metals Rise on Positive German Data

SMH reported precious metals, including platinum, were up on Tuesday with new data from Germany boosting the euro.

As quoted in the market news:

Platinum was up 1.8 per cent at $US1,519.49 an ounce, having earlier hit a six-week high.
