Northern Gold Mining Inc. reports its annual meeting of shareholders on Monday 30 September 2008 at its headquarters in Toronto, Ontario.

Northern Gold continues its intensive drill program on two projects. With two drills located on its Kirana Project in Kirkland Lake, Ontario, 56 holes have been completed to date. This includes 38 holes on the Fidelity zone, and 18 holes on regional targets. These 56 holes represent a total of 8,819 metres of core. Of this, 25 holes for a total of 2,450 metres of core have been logged. A third drill is located on Northern Gold’s Matheson Central Claim Group in the Timmins, Ontario gold mining camp, where four holes are complete and the drill is turning on hole number five.
