De Beers Opens Venture Capital Shop in Silicon Valley

Forbes reported the De Beers Group has established a venture group capital fund and opened an office in Santa Clara, Calif.

As quoted in the market news,

Element Six Ventures Group is the investment arm of Element Six, which works in the design, development and production of synthetic diamonds and other “supermaterials.” The ventures group will focus on broadening its portfolio of “early-stage emerging-technology investments” in the Silicon Valley region, the company said in a statement Monday.
