American Manganese CEO Larry Reaugh Discusses the Company’s Good News

American Manganese Inc (TSXV:AMY; PINKS:AMYZF;FRANK:2AM) CEO Larry Reaugh spoke to host Jim Goddard on his advertising segment, Company Showcase. American Manganese focuses on projects in manganese, and has developed intellectual property patented in the US, China and South Africa. The company is currently focusing on using the technology they have developed and adapting it to recycling cathode materials in lithium-ion batteries, making their production a closed-loop, cradle-to-cradle system. The company is on-track to apply for further patenting in November, leaving the company in a strong position with regards to its intellectual property.
American Manganese recently announced that one of the members of its advisory board, Shailesh Upreti, will be leading a group coordinated by the governor of New York responsible for building a gigafactory in the state. Upreti plans to remain on the board of American Manganese during this initiative, which might provide potential partnership opportunities for the company in the future.
Reaugh also spoke of his attendance at the Benchmark conference, where he was given the opportunity to speak about the company, alongside other representatives.
Reaugh also spoke of regulation changes that are emerging in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). The African nation is barring the export of unfinished mineral products so as to increase the involvement of local smelters and refiners. As this might impact supply, the effect on the price of cobalt could result in an increase in the near future.
