Rock Tech Announces Drills 23.03 metres at 3.95% Graphite at its Lochaber Property

Rock Tech Lithium Inc. (TSXV:RCK,FWB:RJIA) reported the first set of assay results from the drill program announced in December, 2012. This planned 4,600 metre drill program focuses on electromagnetic conductors “A” and “C” – identified on the Plumbago area of the property during geophysical surveys in September, 2012. Highlights include drilling 23.03 metres at 3.95% graphite.
As quoted in the press release:
Highlights of these assay results include:
- Drill hole PB-12-14 intersected 59.48 metres of graphitic carbon (“Cg”) at various depths with grades ranging from 1.52% Cg to 14.61% Cg, including 13.59 metres at 2.08% Cg, 9.18 metres at 4.78% Cg, 3.59 metres at 9.54% Cg and 2.91 metres at 3.71% Cg, and;
- Drill Hole PB-12-15 intersected 61.73 metres of Cg at various depths with grades ranging from 1.65% Cg to 5.03% Cg, including 23.03 metres at 3.95% Cg, 8.76 metres at 5.03% Cg, 5.00 metres at 2.17% Cg and 2.26 metres at 3.92% Cg.
Rock Tech Vice President of Exploration and Interim CEO Afzaal Pirzada said:
We are very pleased with the successful completion of additional step-out and in-fill drilling at our Lochaber graphite property. Since October 2012, the Company has completed over 7,000 metres of drilling which will form the basis of a maiden NI 43-101 resource estimate. The graphite zones of the Plumbago mine area begin at the surface and have thus far been traced to a depth of over 150 metres.
