FastMarkets reported that zinc is up about 0.6 percent, noting that in the sell off that has taken place recently it is the only metal that has breached the low that it hit in April.
As quoted in the market news:
Nickel, lead, tin and zinc are all up around 0.6 percent, while aluminium lags with a 0.1 percent gain.
During the sell-off in recent days, zinc is the only metal to have breached its April low, silver got within $0.02/oz of its low, lead got within $5 and aluminium was around $12 away, but the others all had a fairly healthy underlying cushion – so we may have witnessed a test of support, which by and large has so far held.
