China Imports Of Iron Ore Up 6 Percent

Platts reported China imported 6% more iron ore year on year to 57.87 million tonnes in July.

As quoted in the market news:

It imported 4.07 million mt from South Africa in July, up 71% year on year, the data showed.

Imports from India totaled 2.5 million mt in July, down 37% year on year. India raised the export duty on its iron ore fines and lump to 30% from 20% on December 30, 2011.
