Tahoe Resources Expects to Resume Construction at Escobal Silver Mine After Violent Protests

Mining Weekly reported that construction and development of  Tahoe Resources’  flagship Escobal silver mine is expected to resume on Thursday in the wake of anti-mining protests.

As quoted in the Mining Weekly report:

While many of these activities have been peaceful and respectful, violence from outside influences has escalated in the past weeks since we received our operating permit,” he said.
