Bloomberg reported that silver producer Hecla Mining Co said that the recent reopening of their Lucky Friday mine in Idaho would boost production by Q3, but will also boost costs significantly.

The company, which also operates the Greens Creek mine in Alaska, said it expected silver production to increase more than 25 percent to about 8 million to 9 million ounces in 2013.
