Japan TEPCO Venture on Coal Unit Likely Remains Shut

Reuters reported that a coal plant in Japan has not supplied any electricity since last week’s earthquake in the region.

A Tokyo Electric Power (TEPCO) official said the firm has not been able to confirm whether the plant’s operations have halted or the extent of damage, adding that if Tohoku has not received supplies, it was likely the plant had stopped operations.
