EIA Slightly Lifts US Natgas Output Growth Estimate

Reuters Africa reports that the U.S. Energy Information Administration raised 2011 estimate for domestic natural gas production to 6 percent from 2010 levels.

The market news is quoted as saying:

Gas production has been growing steadily since 2005, primarily because of the boom in horizontal drilling in onshore unconventional shale formations.
