Triton Minerals Ltd. (ASX:TON) announced that further mapping, soil sampling and trenching is taking place at its Balama North and Ancuabe projects, both located in Mozambique. In addition, it has received two further exploration licenses for Ancuabe and will begin drilling at Balama North next week.
As quoted in the press release:
As previously stated this drilling program will focus on the priority Target 1 area, previously identified during the initial exploration program in April 2013. Target 1 is the same area where the original graphitic mineralisation outcropping, with a strike length of approximately 3.75kms was located and now the additional outcropping having a strike length of approximately 100m has now been located in the same target area, which has been further and better defined in Figure 1 above .
Brad Boyle, managing director at Triton, commented:
It is great to provide such positive news to the market, with the exploration program underway and additional graphite mineralization exposures located on the Balama North project, drilling to commence next week and more exploration licenses having now been granted. We look forward to providing further updates to the market as the drilling and exploration programs progress over the coming weeks.
