PT Smelting Forced to Seek Alternatives after Extended Grasberg Closure

Reuters reported that Indonesian smelter, PT Smelting has taken only one shipment from Freeport’s Grasberg since the closure forced by a tunnel collapse, and are forced to look for alternatives.

As quoted in the Reuters report:

We are trying to get available concentrate … if we are not successful in our efforts to secure concentrate, we will also have to suspend operations for a short time.
