Western Copper and Gold Announces Voting Results from Annual Shareholders' Meeting

 Western Copper and Gold Corporation ("Western" or the "Company") (TSX: WRN) (NYSE American: WRN) announces the voting results from the Company's Annual General and Special Meeting ("AGM") held on June 17, 2021 .

A total of 48,252,451 common shares were represented at the AGM, representing 35.53% of the votes attached to all outstanding common shares as at the record date. All of the matters submitted to the shareholders for approval as set out in the Company's notice of meeting and information circular were approved by the requisite majority of votes cast at the AGM.

Shareholders voted in favour of setting the number of directors at six (6) and elected all directors, as follows:

Shareholders also approved: (i) the appointment of PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP as auditors of the Company and authorized the directors to set their remuneration, (ii) unallocated stock options under the Company's stock option plan, (iii) certain amendments to the Company's stock option plan, (iv) the adoption of a new deferred share unit plan of the Company, and (v) the adoption of a new restricted share unit plan of the Company.
