Precious Metals InvestingNASDAQ reports that Commodities finished higher for the day as crude futures while gold futures rallied to a new record high as the dollar strengthened.

The market news is quoted as saying:
Gold for February delivery finished up $9.90 to $1,416.10 an ounce. In other metal futures, silver rose 1.6% to $29.74 a troy ounce while copper was up 0.26% to $4.00 a pound.
