Gold to End 2011 with Quarterly Loss

CNBC News reported that gold has lost 19% since September and is headed to a quarterly loss.

As quoted in the market news:

Gold still gave investors a return of about 9.3 percent in 2011, but it underperformed U.S. 10-year Treasuries, which returned about 17 percent.
