MSN Money reports Gold prices settled higher after a good U.S. jobs report.

The market news is quoted as saying:

Gold prices had been patiently awaiting the nonfarm payroll report for February and picked up steam after the solid results. The private sector added 222,000 jobs, while government positions dropped by 30,000; both numbers were in line with expectations. The unemployment rate fell to 8.9%, but the good news may have been already baked into the stock market — and out of the gold market.
