The FBI announced on Friday it would be reopening its investigation into Hillary Clinton’s private email server.
The FBI announced on Friday they are reopening their investigation into Hillary Clinton’s private email server. The investigation comes after learning that Anthony Weiner, who is married to a top aide to Hillary Clinton, had been sending sexual messages to a 15-year old girl.
Following the announcement, the gold price reacted positively. After trading as low at US$1,263 per ounce before 9 a.m. EST on Friday, gold jumped to US$1,284 per ounce.
Investors hate the unknown, so the run to the security of gold is not surprising. That being said, the price has softened during the afternoon, currently hovering around $1,278 per ounce.
