This is also echoed by global consultancy Frost & Sullivan analyst Sandra Ayingono: “The rapid growth in uranium production will help it surpass the diamond sector as the largest foreign currency earner in the mining industry between 2015 and 2020. The opening of several uranium mines in the Erongo region will augment demand for electricity by 300 MW by 2012.”
