Chris Berry of House Mountain Partners will be focusing on cobalt this year, and he suggests keeping an eye on Freeport-McMoRan Copper & Gold to get a sense of what the market is doing.
At last month’s Vancouver Resource Investment Conference, Cobalt Investing News had the chance to speak with Chris Berry, founder of House Mountain Partners.
In the video below (starting at 2:30), Berry explains why he’ll be focusing on cobalt in 2014, commenting, “if you’re a believer in the story of technology moving forward … I think now is potentially the time to be looking for economic deposits outside of the [Democratic Republic of the Congo].” Two that “obviously come to mind” are those belonging to Global Cobalt (TSXV:GCO) and Formation Metals (TSX:FCO).
Berry also suggests keeping an eye on Freeport-McMoRan Copper & Gold (NYSE:FCX) in order to “get a sense for what the cobalt market is doing” and understand supply and demand moving forward.
He discusses the commercialization of graphene in the first half of the video.
