Lundin halts Aguablanca after heavy rain, slope failure

Mining Weekly.com reports that production has ceased at Lundin Mining’s  (TSX:LUN) Aguablanca Nickel/Copper mine in Spain, due to slope failure and heavy rain.

The editorial is quoted as saying:

“We may conclude that a longer-term suspension of operations is necessary to allow further review of the alternatives for operating this asset, including the possible relocation of the main ramp.”
