Canadian Zinc Corporation (TSX: CZN; OTCQB: CZICF) (“the Company” or “Canadian Zinc”) is pleased to report progress on the permit application for an All Season Road for the Company’s 100% owned Prairie Creek Mine in the Northwest Territories.
As quoted in the press release:
The Environmental Assessment of the proposed All Season Road is being conducted by the Mackenzie Valley Environmental Impact Review Board (the “Review Board”).
Community Hearings Held April 24–25, 2017
The Review Board held Community Hearings in Nahanni ButteApril 24th and Fort SimpsonApril 25th. The Community Hearings provided an opportunity for local communities to hear and to participate in a discussion of the issues related to the proposed road development and to raise any concerns directly with the Review Board.
There was strong support shown for the Prairie Creek project from both communities. Transcripts from the Hearings are posted on the Review Board’s registry.
