CMC Metals Identifies High Grade Silver-Lead-Zinc-Stibnite Samples at its Amy Property, British Columbia

CMC Metals Ltd. (TSXV:CMB)(Frankfurt:ZM5N)(OTC PINK:CMCZF) ("CMC" or the "Company") is pleased to announce that recent exploration has identified high grade polymetallic samples at its Amy property in northern British Columbia. During a brief reconnaissance of the property at the end of the 2021 exploration season. The Amy Property is road accessible and located only 8 kilometers west of the Silvertip mine and mill owned by Coeur Mining Limited in the southern part of the Rancheria Silver District. The property was subjected to considerable exploration in the 1960-1985 period that included adit development, the discovery of the Amy prospect, exploration drilling, numerous mineralized areas, and an anomalous area in excess of 4 kilometers in strike length with widths from 300-1,300 meters

Five grab samples were collected from various surface trenches and the adit dump on the Amy Property and resulted in the following assays:

Mr. Kevin Brewer, President and CEO noted, "We are very excited about the potential of the Amy Property, and we now intend to advance the project to the drill-ready stage. Historical work demonstrated that Amy has the potential to host a high-grade carbonate replacement deposit ("CRD"). The presence of stibnite in the sampling has pleasantly surprised us and we will be studying that closely. Our limited reconnaissance efforts confirmed that extensive mineralization exists at the surface and from material that came out of the adits. We are now intending to initiate a detailed compilation of the data relating to the property from extensive prospecting, geological mapping, geochemical sampling and geophysical surveys to prepare for advanced exploration efforts on the property in 2022. Permits will be filed with the Government of British Columbia for upgrading of the access roads to the site, trenching, and drilling.

Mr. John Bossio, Chairperson noted, "Being in such close geographic proximity to a silver-lead-zinc mill Amy has become a very attractive target for CMC. This project has the right geology, the right geophysics, and is in the right place. It has great exploration potential to host a significant high-grade silver-base metal deposit in the Rancheria Silver District. Our focus at Amy will be resource definition and medium- term development. Once we take the project to drill-ready stage we will entertain a possible joint venture as our main focus remains the flagship Silver Hart project."

CMC Files Drill Permits for Amy and Silverknife Properties, Rancheria Silver District, Northern BC

CMC Files Drill Permits for Amy and Silverknife Properties, Rancheria Silver District, Northern BC

CMC Metals Ltd. (TSXV:CMB)(Frankfurt:ZM5P)(OTC PINKS:CMCZF) ("CMC" or the "Company") is pleased to announce that it has completed filing for exploration applications for the Amy and Silverknife projects. The permits include a wide range of proposed exploration activities on both properties including but not limited to geophysical and geochemical surveys, access road upgrading, new trailroad development, drill and clearing pad construction and drilling. The permits are filed with the Ministry of Energy, Mines and Petroleum Resources, Government of British Columbia and permit reviews for multi-year permits of this nature typically take in the range of 4-6 months to complete

At Silverknife, in the southern part of the property, our intent is to conduct geological mapping and prospecting to determine the extent of specific prospective geological units that are known to host the Silvertip Mine owned by Coeur Mining Ltd. The results of those efforts will guide decisions on advanced exploration in that area of the Property. However, most of the proposed exploration is planned to take place in the northern part of the Property to follow up on four known geochemical anomalies in that area and possible extensions of the existing Silverknife prospect identified by the 2021 SkyTEM airborne geophysical survey. A gravity survey will be initiated as soon as spring conditions allow, and the results of that survey are then expected to guide drill site selection. The Silverknife Prospect is located directly on the western boundary of the Silvertip Mining claims and the mine and mill are located approximately 1 km east-southeast of the Prospect.

From Data to Discovery: How AI is Changing the Face of Modern Mining

Mineral exploration is one of the riskiest and most capital-intensive phases of the mining lifecycle. The process has traditionally relied heavily on historical geological records, field surveys and extensive drilling, often with low success rates and long time horizons. But a new wave of digital innovation is reshaping the landscape.

Artificial intelligence (AI) and advanced data analytics are increasingly at the forefront of a quiet revolution in mining, offering tools that enhance discovery potential, reduce exploration risk and deliver stronger returns for investors.

Historically, mineral exploration has been marked by high uncertainty and significant financial risk. Companies spend millions of dollars poring over old geological maps, conducting labor-intensive fieldwork and drilling test holes — all in hopes of finding an economically viable deposit. In fact, industry data suggests that only a tiny fraction of exploration projects — approximately one in a thousand — ever reaches production. This low success rate has often made early-stage mining investments difficult to assess and even harder to justify without deep technical insights or a strong appetite for risk.

Top 5 Canadian Silver Stocks of 2025

Silver-mining companies and juniors have seen support from a strong silver price in 2025. Since the start of the year, the price of silver has increased by over 11 percent as of April 11, and it reached a year-to-date high of US$34.38 per ounce on March 27.

Silver’s dual function as a monetary and industrial metal offers great upside. Demand from energy transition sectors, especially for use in the production of solar panels, has created tight supply and demand forces.

Demand is already outpacing mine supply, making for a positive situation for silver-producing companies.

ASX Silver Stocks: 5 Biggest Companies in 2025

Silver is often compared to gold due to its importance in jewellery and as a safe-haven investment.

However, silver has many industrial applications too, including in electronics, automobiles and silverware, as well as medicine and photography. Energy transition applications are a growing demand sector for silver too — the metal is valued for its conductive capacity, which makes it particularly useful in the production of photovoltaic panels.

Silver supply has tightened in recent years as industrial demand rises. This was one of several factors that helped the silver price break through the US$34 per ounce mark in October 2024 for the first time since 2012. Heading into the second quarter of 2025, silver once again tested the US$34 level, although it has pulled back to US$31 amid market volatility as of April 10.
