European Lithium Limited (ASX: EUR, FRA:PF8, OTC: EULIF) (the Company) is pleased to advise that EV Resources Limited (ASX: EVR) has announced that high-grade lithium assays have been received from sampling undertaken at various prospects within the Eastern Alps Lithium Satellite Projects, located in Austria, which are held 20% by the Company and 80% by EVR.
HIGHLIGHTS
- High-grade lithium assays returned from rock chip samples taken during sampling programs at three selected Austrian lithium projects held in joint venture.
- The projects are located within the Eastern Alps close to the Company’s Wolfsberg Lithium Project (Wolfsberg) which has a JORC compliant Total Mineral Resource Estimate of 12.9 MT @ 1.00% Li2O.
Commenting on the high-grade samples, Executive Chairman Tony Sage said “We are encouraged to see exceptional high-grade lithium samples found on our JV projects and ground close to the Company’s Wolfsberg Lithium Project. It provides further confidence to support our understanding of the prospectivity of the immediate project area and region. The Company looks forward to commencing further drilling at Wolfsberg within Zone 2, later this year (see EUR announcement dated 28 July 2022: Quarterly Report). We continue to work collaboratively to develop the region and secure a local lithium supply chain for Europe.”
Collaboration
The Company previously announced that it had entered into a Collaboration Agreement with EVR and an agreement to acquire a 20% interest in EVR’s Austrian Lithium assets from their JV partner (EVR Acquisition) (refer EUR announcement dated 11 May 2021).
