The silver price gained 1.1 percent to hit $17.23 an ounce on Wednesday, according to Reuters. On Tuesday, the metal fell 3.6 percent for its biggest one-day drop in three months.
Silver’s price improvement came as the dollar came back from its weakest run against the euro in four years. On Wednesday, the dollar climbed to a three-week high against the euro, which fell on the back of news that Greece may not be able to make a payment to the International Monetary Fund.
